WELCOME TO PAMPERED SMILES DENTISTRY

Dr. Kelechi Okafor is a first-generation American. She was born in North Carolina to Nigerian parents but spent her formative years in Dallas, Texas. As a teenager, her family relocated back to NC, where she graduated as valedictorian of her high school class. She went on to get a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in dental hygiene. After spending two years working full-time as a dental hygienist, Dr. Kelechi moved to Washington, DC, to earn her dental degree from Howard University. Post-graduation, she opted to further hone her dental skills by completing a general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.

For the past 10 years, Dr. Kelechi has worked as an associate dentist in almost all types of dental settings. She has experience in hospital dentistry, community dentistry, public health dentistry, corporate dentistry, military dentistry, and private practice. She believes that all her experience has allowed her to take the best of what these settings have to offer and apply them to her practice.

Dr. Kelechi is proud to now call Katy her home. She is married and has two children. When she is not being a dentist, wife, or mom, she enjoys traveling, live music, catching up on all the latest movies and television series, and you can definitely catch her on the Peloton leaderboard (tarheelkelz - add her!)
